7-Day Desert Triangle Itinerary
Arrive at Jodhpur Airport/Railway Station and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, visit the Mehrangarh Fort, offering panoramic views of the Blue City, and the nearby Jaswant Thada cenotaph. Overnight in Jodhpur.
After breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer. The journey itself is a beautiful introduction to the Thar Desert. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, perhaps exploring the local market. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
Explore the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Quila), a living fort with palaces, temples, and residences. Visit the intricately carved Patwon Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli, and enjoy the serenity of Gadisar Lake. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
After a relaxed morning, drive to the Sam Sand Dunes. Experience the thrill of a camel safari over the golden dunes at sunset. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Rajasthani cultural program with folk music and dance, followed by a delicious dinner. Overnight in a desert camp.
After breakfast, drive to Bikaner, another historic desert city. On arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Junagarh Fort, a formidable fortress that has never been conquered. Overnight in Bikaner.
This morning, visit the unique Karni Mata Temple in Deshnoke, famous for the thousands of holy rats that inhabit it. Afterwards, begin your drive back to Jodhpur. Check into your hotel upon arrival and relax. Overnight in Jodhpur.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. You will be transferred to Jodhpur Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey, filled with memories of the desert.

- Cancellations made 30 days before travel will incur a 25% charge.
- Cancellations made 15-30 days before travel will incur a 50% charge.
- Cancellations made 0-15 days before travel will incur a 100% charge.
- Children below 5 years are complimentary (sharing bed with parents).
- An extra mattress for children will be chargeable.
- Children above 5 years will be considered as an extra adult and charged accordingly.

FAQs for Your Desert Triangle Trip
The Desert Triangle refers to a popular tourist circuit that connects the three major desert cities of Rajasthan: Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Bikaner. This route offers a comprehensive experience of the Thar Desert's culture, history, and landscapes.
The Karni Mata Temple in Deshnoke, near Bikaner, is famous for being home to thousands of rats, which are considered sacred and are revered by the devotees. It's a unique and intriguing cultural site to visit.
The drives are a significant part of this tour. Jodhpur to Jaisalmer is approximately 5-6 hours. Jaisalmer to Bikaner is also around 5-6 hours, and Bikaner back to Jodhpur is about 4-5 hours. The roads are generally in good condition.
We highly recommend avoiding this tour during the peak summer months (April to June) as temperatures in the desert can be extremely high, making sightseeing and travel uncomfortable. The best time for this trip is from October to March.
